Lizzy Owens
Mountain Central Development Director
Lizzy Owens is the director of development for the Mountain Central region at Operation Smile. Based in Eagle, Colorado, Owens is driven by the mission of Operation Smile and enjoys being able to engage donors in multiple states in all the ways that they can change lives through access to surgical care.
Owens is a seasoned development professional, with more than 15 years of nonprofit work in a variety of organizations, from independent schools to a local parks and recreation department. She has worked in major gifts, data and database analysis, grant writing, community development and event management, as well as sponsorships and corporate, individual and annual giving.
She has a Bachelor of the Arts in history from Smith College and a Master of the Arts in Latin American cultural studies from the University of Manchester (England). While now enjoying life in Colorado, Owens has lived in seven states and the District of Columbia. She is an avid reader and enjoys all that the Colorado mountains have to offer, including hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter with her husband and two daughters.
